25 years ago, a Kaukapakapa Customer mentioned a peach tree that was a great fruiter, and had excellent resistance to brown rot, with tasty creamy white fruit ripe around February. They dropped off some material for us to grow, but unfortunately, we were not successful in propagating the tree at that time, and that customer sold and moved out of the district. Around 3 years ago another customer came to see us, and told us the story of an old peach tree on their property.\n\nWe soon realised it was the same property and tree. The great news is this time we have been successful at growing a batch of them, and we have them available for purchase right now. We have called the variety Peach 'Kaipara Kreme', and we are very interested in getting as many planted around the country as possible to see how the tree preforms in a range of other sites.
