Our experience using these in the Auckland region:

An excellent new selection, nice and narrow so makes a great hedge. Gets covered in flowers. Trims well, don't be afraid to trim them back hard if growing them as a hedge. We have used some of these as a hedge near our beehives. The bees love it when they are flowering.
