The go to hedge plant in Auckland for many years. They aren't without problems. They don't like clay soil, being hungry, or dry summers. So, for best results, plenty of Planting Mix, fertiliser and mulch when you plant them. Feed them each year, and trim regularly. Water once a week in dry summers.
