Our experience using these in the Auckland region:

These are little cuties, but are a bit harder to grow than normal pohutukawa. We find they like a well mulched soil in our Auckland Garden. Try them in pots or in big groups. They flower off and on throughout the year, so worth plantingfor that alone.
