Our experience using these in the Auckland region:

One of the few plants that will have a go at competing with Kikuyu grass! They work as a fast hardy easy to grow groundcover, or, if you have a wall that needs hiding, they grow incredibly fast to around 6m tall if they have something to climb up. A good example of this is the New World building in Kumeu, where an ugly high concrete wall is now a thicket of Muehlenbeckia complexa.
