Our experience using these in the Auckland region:

These are the taller growing version of Mondo grass - ideal for in big groups, along edges and garden borders. We have big groups of these in our gardens thriving on a shady mulch covered bank. We recommend planting them around 15-20cm apart, so between 25 and 45 per square metre.
